90 minutes of exercise every week. Marching on cancer. Together.
Be part of Challenge90 and join the Leeds United community by exercising for the length of a football match every week. Plus you’ll have access to exclusive competitions and events.
SET YOUR GOAL
Start small and build as you go, or commit to 90 minutes a week until the end of the season. We're aiming to reach a collective total of 100 000 minutes exercised this season.
Do more of what you love – team sports, running, cycling, swimming, walking – your 90 minutes can improve your health and fitness and reduce your risk of developing cancer.
Exercise and cancer
Yorkshire Cancer Research has been exploring the impact of exercise on cancer by funding a range of pioneering research and projects across the region.
Each year in Yorkshire, 164 new cases of cancer are linked to a lack of regular exercise – and many more cancers can occur by not maintaining a healthy weight.
And for those living with cancer, there is emerging evidence that shows being physically active can improve treatment outcomes, have a positive impact on survival rates and reduce the risk of the cancer coming back.
