My target 100 mi
I have signed up to the Your 100 challenge and will be completing 100 miles this May to raise money for life-saving cancer research in Yorkshire.
In Yorkshire, every 17 minutes someone is told they have cancer. Yorkshire Cancer Research exists so that more people can live longer, healthier lives, free of cancer.
As an independent charity, Yorkshire Cancer Research funds vital research in our region and pioneers new and innovative services for people with cancer. These life-giving medical breakthroughs are helping more people survive cancer – in Yorkshire, and beyond.
Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can, no amount is too small to make a difference. Thank you.
100 miles long!Wednesday 31st May
Reserve date activated!Sunday 21st May Today was the planned day for the big 100 but due to losing a few training days to a bug, I’ve moved it to next Sunday. Fingers crossed the weather stays as perfect! Share
Longest training ride yet!Saturday 13th May Yesterday was the 70 mile training ride and it was surprisingly OK. Mud, wind and a few close passes on the negative side but lovely friends (Colette, Clare and Jason), an enormous scone and a second cafe stop made it bearable! 8 days to go until the big one…. Gulp! Training a bit harder!Tuesday 2nd May Managed the first half recce for the big 100 in three weeks time - 54 miles and only got lost twice! Second half practice next week - this time without the headwind please! Share
