We Walk for Yorkshire

We're Walking 500 miles for Yorkshire 2025

This May we are joining people across Yorkshire who are coming together to raise money for vital research that will help save lives in Yorkshire.
Every 17 minutes, someone in Yorkshire is told they have cancer. People are more likely to be diagnosed with cancer in Yorkshire than in most other parts of England and, tragically, too many people die.
This May, we would like to help change this, by taking part in We Walk for Yorkshire to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research. As a family we are going to walk 500 miles in May.
Four years ago Gary, our husband/father, was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer.
The Yorkshire Cancer Research centre in Harrogate has provided him with fantastic support during the last 4 years. This has included individual fitness sessions, one to one  a warm and friendly environment for him to enjoy.
This support has meant a great deal to Gary and our family in coping with the stresses and strains a cancer diagnosis brings.
As a family, the Lovelace Loiterers want to repay the support we have recieved and raise funds so Yorkshire Cancer Research can continue to help cancer sufferers.
Every step counts and every pound we are able to raise will help save lives in Yorkshire.
Any donations, no matter how small would be gratefully

Excellent cause. You'll have no trouble doing it. Just put your thick socks on to stop any blisters.🙂

Together we can walk for a Yorkshire free from cancer
