We Walk for Yorkshire 2024

This May I'm joining people across Yorkshire who are coming together to walk 31,000 miles to raise money for vital research which will help save lives in Yorkshire.

31,000 is the number of people who are diagnosed with cancer every year in Yorkshire.

People are more likely to be diagnosed with cancer in Yorkshire than in most other parts of England and, tragically, too many people die. Yorkshire Cancer Research exists to change this. With the help of people across the region, the charity funds vital research and pioneers innovative new services for people with cancer.

Every step counts, and every pound I am able to raise will help save lives in Yorkshire.

Wednesday 29th May
Last few days, only a few more miles to go. It's been great getting out for extra walks with Reg, and the support I've received has been humbling. Just want to say another massive thanks to everyone that donated, liked, shared, or said nice things about Reggie! Looking forward to the challenge next year.

Halfway there!

Thursday 16th May
I've walked around 48 miles now so keeping on track! Reggie is still my accountability buddy and loves a good rest by the bench at the end of the hike. Here's to the next 52 miles, and a huge thank you again to all my sponsors!

Wednesday 8th May
The ultimate walking companion. He's been loving getting the extra steps in every day! We're almost at 25 miles now, so right on target. Here's a photo of him to celebrate being one week in!

Saturday 4th May
Three miles of skiing - I haven't included this in my steps, not sure if it counts but it was fun to carve the extra miles nonetheless! ⛷️and yes I was repping my blue t-shirt around Xscape!
