We Walk for Yorkshire

We Walk for Yorkshire 2025

I am walking for my Dad who was diagnosed with bowel cancer in September 2024.

Dad has donated all his unused biopsies to help with trials, and for the future generations to get the treatment they deserve and the medical research to develop.

I implore everyone to adapt the mindset that my Dad did, he knew something wasn't right and he sought medical help. If it had not been for his incredible bravery, this could be a different story today.

Personally I am incredibly grateful to everyone involved in his treatment plan, the treatment, the dosage and care was helped him beat his cancer.

Yesterday he got the all clear and is now on medical review, for others this is sadly not the case.

I am so proud to call him my Dad

This May I'm joining people across Yorkshire who are coming together to raise money for vital research that will help save lives in Yorkshire.

Every 17 minutes, someone in Yorkshire is told they have cancer. People are more likely to be diagnosed with cancer in Yorkshire than in most other parts of England and, tragically, too many people die.

This May, I would like to help change this, by taking part in We Walk for Yorkshire to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research. Thanks to supporters, the charity funds vital research and pioneers innovative new services for people with cancer.

Every step counts and every pound I am able to raise will help save lives in Yorkshire.
