We Walk for Yorkshire 2026
I’m taking part in We Walk for Yorkshire, the annual walking challenge organised by Yorkshire Cancer Research. I’ll be joining others across Yorkshire and beyond, to collectively walk 35,000 miles in May to help fund life-saving cancer research.
Why 35,000? That’s the number of people who are told they have cancer in Yorkshire every year. By walking in May, I’m helping save lives in our region.
I’m taking on a solo walking challenge for Yorkshire Cancer Research by walking the entire Yorkshire section of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal — around 35 miles, from Leeds to Gargrave over 2 days.
I’ll be following the historic canal towpath through some of Yorkshire’s best-known landmarks, including Saltaire and the Bingley Five Rise Locks, finishing at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.
I’m walking solo, over several days, to raise funds for vital cancer research that directly benefits people across Yorkshire.
Every donation helps fund life-saving research close to home — thank you so much for supporting me and cheering me on 💙
