We Walk for Yorkshire
I’m taking part in We Walk for Yorkshire, the annual walking challenge organised by Yorkshire Cancer Research. I’ll be joining others across Yorkshire and beyond, to collectively walk 35,000 miles in May to help fund life-saving cancer research.
Why 35,000? That’s the number of people who are told they have cancer in Yorkshire every year. By walking in May, I’m helping save lives in our region.
By taking part, I’m helping to shine a light on the need for new and better ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer in our region.
By supporting my fundraising, you’ll be directly contributing to vital research and pioneering new services that will benefit people with cancer in Yorkshire now, and in the future.
Thank you for anything you’re able to donate. It will make a real difference.

Thursday 19th Mar This May myself and the rest of the 2-Work team are taking part in Yorkshire Cancer Research's We Walk for Yorkshire to raise much needed funds for cancer detection & treatment 🚶➡️🚶♀️➡️35,000 people in Yorkshire alone are told they have cancer every year. Let that sink in for a moment - 35,000 people 😢
The scary and sad statistics are that 1 in 2 people will be affected by cancer in their lifetime.
Together, we can help raise funds to bring that statistic down.
So if you'd like to help make a difference I would absolutely love for you to throw a donation my way! Every little helps & even £1 goes a long way to filling the pot up and making a real difference to people's lives! Without sounding depressing, none of us know if we'll ever need the support of cancer charities in the future so it's important to support them if we can 💛💙
Thank you! Share
