We Walk for Yorkshire 2026
I’m taking part in We Walk for Yorkshire, the annual walking challenge organised by Yorkshire Cancer Research. I’ll be joining others across Yorkshire and beyond, to collectively walk 35,000 miles in May to help fund life-saving cancer research.
Why 35,000? That’s the number of people who are told they have cancer in Yorkshire every year. By walking in May, I’m helping save lives in our region.
By taking part, I’m helping to shine a light on the need for new and better ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer in our region.
By supporting my fundraising, you’ll be directly contributing to vital research and pioneering new services that will benefit people with cancer in Yorkshire now, and in the future.

Thursday 14th May Originally just put down 150 miles target as only going to sponsor ourselves, but with sharing now with others (& over £500 raised- big thanks), feel that not really a challenge as average that normally, so will increase my target to 250 miles to give myself especially an extra push as big Thankyou for kind donations. Thursday 30th Apr Just heard today, Trina’s sister in law, Rose, sadly passed away today, only less than a month after hearing about her diagnosis.
