We Walk for Yorkshire

My personal goal this month is to run my very first 5K, something I’ve never done before. It feels like a big challenge for me, but one that feels even more meaningful because I’m doing it in memory of my nanny, who I lost in 2023.

Like so many families who have been affected by cancer, our journey was full of ups and downs. There were moments of hope and moments of real fear. One of the scariest times came when my nanny underwent experimental CAR‑T therapy, becoming one of the first 40 people in the UK to receive this treatment. Thanks to the incredible work of researchers and medical teams, that treatment gave us two extra years together,  something we never expected.

Those extra two years meant everything. More memories. More time.

Every step I take this month is for my Nanny, and for everyone who is facing cancer now or in the future

Thank you for anything you’re able to donate. It will make a real difference.
